Mike Tindall has spoke out about the rumours disgraced MP Matt Hancock left the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here WhatsApp group chat.

Last year's close-knit group have kept in contact since leaving the Australian jungle, but it was revealed shortly after the series ended that Matt wasn't involved in the texting.

Now, former rugby star Mike, 44, has seemingly revealed the former Health Secretary was never actually included in the post-camp group.

While he appeared to be "accepted" into the camp as a late entry on the show alongside Seann Walsh, it now seems as though he was never truly part of the clique.

Speaking to The Sun, Mike said: "Of course I’d chat to Matt again - why wouldn’t I? I think there’s been a miscommunication with that, no one has left the WhatsApp group.

"I’m actually seeing Sue [Cleaver] tomorrow, and I’ve seen Sue a few times and spoken to Baba [Aleshe] and pretty much spoken to everyone.

"Well, we try to but it’s not easy. You always have these grand plans when you’re in the jungle but you come back and remember what life was before."

The comments come after Matt was grilled on Good Morning Britain about the huge fee he received for being on the reality show.

He made £320,000 and donated £10,000 to charity. However, he had initially claimed he would donate a larger some and was quizzed on his actions by presenter Susanna Reid.

In his first interview since his fee for I'm A Celeb was revealed, Susanna asked if he had negotiated his fee, after he claimed money wasn't his primary reason for appearing on the ITV hit.

The 44-year-old said: "I did absolutely give some of the money to charity and they're two brilliant charities."

But Richard Madeley, who was presenting alongside Susanna, chimed in: "It would seem to most people with basic arithmetic, that you did do it for the money."

Hancock replied: "I didn't primarily do it for the money. I primarily did it to show who I am. I gave a five figure sum to charity."

"£10,000 out of £320,000," Richard slammed back. "You're skating off and saying that's a substantial sum."
