Loose Women's Kaye targeted by troll who sent cruel message about appearance
Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Kaye Adams revealed how one fan recently sent her an unwanted message about her appearance.
Speaking with Kelsey Parker, Jane Moore and Sunetra Sarker on today's edition of Loose Women, Kaye opened a discussion about society becoming too judgemental with her own experience with internet trolls. The Scottish star revealed a blunt message she received just hours before the ITV show airing.
Kelsey – who opened up about her late husband Tom Parker during her stint as a guest panelist on the show today – also contributed to the frank discussion, revealed she was hit with negative comments from mum-shamers during a recent family holiday with her young children.
"I was in bed watching telly last night and I thought I would check my Instagram and this message popped up from someone," Kaye began as she shared her story on Loose Women today, going on to reassure the audience that she found the message funny before revealing what it said.
"I really thought this was so funny but it was someone who got in touch to say: 'When are you going to do something about that mole thingy on your eyebrow," Kaye revealed, causing the audience to gasp in horror. She continued to question what makes some people feel comfortable sending those types of messages.
Adam Thomas says devastating Waterloo Road plot helped him grieve for late dad"I was looking at it and thought 'wow what goes through someone's mind to take the time to pick up the phone and message you that'," Kaye mused. The broadcaster then had the audience and her co-stars in fits of giggles as she self-deprecatingly added: "There's so much more you can pick on!"
Kelsey also shared her encounters with trolls and receiving unsolicited advice from Instagram users during the debate. The star, who welcomed three-year-old Aurelia and two-year-old Bodhi into the world with The Wanted singer Tom prior to his death last year, admitted she's often mum-shamed online.
"I just don't understand [trolling]," Kelsey began when sharing her thoughts on judgemental comments with her fellow panelists. "I get a lot of mum-shaming. So, the other day we were on holiday and Bodhi was getting pulled along on a scooter and I got loads of messages telling me he should be wearing a helmet. I just think its so...." Kelsey revealed, as former Casualty actress Sunetra added: "It's none of their business!"
