Britney Spears 'mentions Kanye West in topless post but then quickly deletes it'

Britney Spears reportedly referenced fellow musician Kanye West in a deleted post on social media recently, with it said to have included footage of her posing topless.

The singer, 41, took to Instagram a couple of days ago to share a video of herself posing topless whilst covered by a bedsheet. The original video is said to have featured Annie Lennox's version of the song I Put a Spell on You.

Britney is said to have since uploaded another version of the clip, which referenced rapper Kanye, 46. That post is said to have been deleted almost immediately, whilst the initial post is understood to have only been deleted on Wednesday.

According to the Express US, fans noticed that the video was re-posted with an apparent tribute to Kanye, but was removed "within seconds". Britney is said to have captioned the second version: "Me and Kanye [starry-eyed emoji]".

It's been claimed on social media that the second version of the post featured Kanye's song Fade, which was released back in 2016. Whilst what's believed to have been the first post, had featured the song I Put a Spell on You instead.

The rumoured second post has been interpreted by some as Britney potentially hinting that she has a crush on Kanye. It comes following the news earlier this month that Britney has separated from her husband Sam Asghari, 29.

There's also been speculation, amid reports about the apparent post on the platform, that a music collaboration between Britney and Kanye could be in the works. He's understood to have once remixed her song Me Against the Music, which was released in 2003 and had featured Madonna.

Fans reacted to the apparent post on X, with one person tweeting: "Britney Spears posted then deleted a post on instagram of her vibing to 'Fade' with the caption: 'Me and Kanye!!!'" Another said: "Britney deleted [her] Kanye post".

A third person said alongside an apparent screenshot: "Are we just gonna act like she didn't post this and mention kanye west ? How odd …. She deleted it fast…" Whilst someone else also wrote alongside an apparent screenshot: "Did anyone else catch this with the caption about #kanye?"

Others seemed to share their thoughts on Britney and Kanye uniting amid the reports. One said: "Kanye & Britney would be crazy to see." Another said: "Hear [me] out Kanye produces Britney's album." A third asked: "Britney and Kanye?"
