Beauty buffs are raving over a serum that they insist has transformed their skin and is worth every penny. Augustinus Bader has a wide range of skincare products, including their cult classic The Rich Cream, but it's their serum that has people talking.

The brand specialises in skincare developed by Professor Augustinus Bader, with a focus on reawakening cells that have become dormant due to aging or trauma. The Serum aims to reduce and prevent the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation for more youthful looking skin.

It claims to improve skin tone and texture while boosting skin's natural radiance. For those wanting more elasticity in their skin it also supports collagen production.

The lightweight serum is formulated without irritants or allergens, fragrance-free, non-comedogenic, vegan friendly and suitable for all skin types - although it is important to patch test any new products. It uses Professor Bader's TFC8®.

In a 12-week Clinical Trial of 30 women and men between the ages of 18 - 65, it was found to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by 85%, the appearance of fine lines by 84% and the appearance of hyperpigmentation by 80%. Skin hydration is reported to have improved by 292% and skin radiance was up by 296%.

With an average rating of 4.8 out of five across 98 reviews, it's clear that this product has built up a fan base.

One happy customer in their 50s who has dry skin and deals with redness and wrinkles said: "This has been a perfect addition to my routine. Honestly I don’t know why I didn’t add it sooner. I think I was put off by the cost but it is worth it. I only need a little and it seems to last quite awhile, I purchased my first serum through another site and liked it so much that I decided to go with auto replenishment.

"It helps strengthen my skin even more when I use the serum before the moisturizer. I can’t say that it evens my skin tone any because my age spots are stubborn but I don’t have a lot. My issues are rosacea and sensitivity. I can honestly say that using Bader has helped keep both in check."

A second woman with similar skin and teenage daughters insisted it would be the only thing she'd take to a deserted island: "The only thing I’ll take to a deserted island. I’ll admit to being sceptical about something so hyped, but damn. My skin has never looked better, and I have not always been kind to it. My 53-year-old skin now glows, is smooth, nose blackheads gone, small lines gone, dullness gone. Even my teenage girls allow themselves to compliment me. I’m hooked."

A woman in her sixties with combination skin, large pores and wrinkling swears by it, writing: "My skin is continuously improving with regular use of the serum. I cannot imagine my skincare without Augustinus Bader’s products- they are game changers for skincare and the serum visibly improves the texture and firmness of my 68 YO skin."

There are only two reviews that give less than four stars and they both complain of breakouts being caused from the serum. It is important to patch test any new skin products to see if it agrees with your skin before use. There are other serums on the market for much lower prices, such as Avène Hyaluron Activ B3 Serum, but they don't have the same technology as Augustinus Bader.

You can buy The Serum here from £220.
