Charlotte Dawson fans in tears over stunning snaps of her kids with late dad Les
Charlotte Dawson has shared a heartfelt family picture of her late father, Les Dawson, less than a month after giving birth to her second child with fiancé Matt Sarsfield.
The renowned English comedian died suddenly in 1993, after suffering a heart attack during a routine medical check-up at a Manchester hospital. At the time of his death, Charlotte was just one year old. Les is also survived by his three older children, Julie, Pamela and Stuart, whom he had with his wife of 25 years, Margaret Dawson. He'd walk down the aisle a second time in 1989, marrying Tracy Roper three years after losing Margaret to cancer.
Charlotte, now 30, took to Instagram on Tuesday to pay tribute to the variety show icon with a stunning carousal of black-and-white family portraits. In the first shot, a photo of a grinning Les has been superimposed onto one of Charlotte and her two young sons, Noah and Jude. The computer generated design is courtesy of Memory Box Photo Edits, a small business that produces bespoke memorial pictures to honour deceased or missing loved ones.

Charlotte also revealed that she has told Noah "all about his grandad les" before adding that the two-year-old is "so proud" to be related to the renowned comic. "Can’t wait for Jude to know all about you," she added.

Last year, she revealed that he sent her a "sign" after she suffered a miscarriage, telling the Mirror that he comforted her "throughout" the ordeal. "Something weird happened to me. I was at home and I looked outside, and there was a pink balloon which just fell onto our balcony. It said the word 'Princess on it.'" She then admitted she believes this was a "message" from Les, because she had always wanted a daughter.

"Sending love. My dad passed away 6 weeks before my second daughter was born this year," one person sympathized. "I think about him every day and it’s still so hard to believe he’s just not here."
"I miss my Dad so much, but I have to believe he is still around in some ways, living through everyone he left behind," another grieving person said.
