Todd Boyce has seemingly confirmed who Stephen Reid will kill next on Coronation Street as one character puts themselves in danger

Coronation Street star Todd Boyce has seemingly confirmed Stephen Reid's next victim.

Serial killer Stephen has already murdered three people but it looks like a fourth could be on the cards. Actor Todd Boyce - who plays Stephen - has hinted that someone could meet their end very soon, and are putting themselves in "danger".

Stephen has killed Leo Thompkins and his father Teddy when he discovered that Leo wasn't in Canada as Stephen had said. Rufus was also killed by Stephen when their business plan went awry, but it looks like Todd could kill again.

Todd said: "I like the way the story is developing and how all these little things are starting to add up. For now, he still feels that he can talk his way out of all these situations but actually, the walls are starting to close in on him, how is he going to explain the equity release letter, what is his mental health like now as he struggles with the inquiry into Rufus Donahue's death. Just when he feels he is getting where he wants to be it is all unravelling behind the scenes."

Speaking about Tim's involvement, he added: "He sees Tim as an annoyance, but Tim has lulled Stephen into a bit of a false sense of security. Stephen’s arrogance has led him to underestimate Tim. What Tim is doing is keeping his enemy close by allowing him to stay living in the flat. I enjoy playing those scenes with Joe as there is so much going on between the two of them on so many levels. He isn’t planning on harming him but if Tim got run over I don’t think Stephen would rush to save him.

"However Tim is kind of putting himself in the most dangerous place with delving a bit too much into Stephen’s life because other people who have been in this place where Tim is are no longer with us. Tim is walking a fine line."

Todd is hopeful however Stephen exits, it's in a "blaze of glory".

"I don’t see anyone else on the horizon in terms of who could be killed, we’re not that far ahead so they could surprise me at any time. I was trying to get the grandstands on telly, I want to be the one who's killed the most," he said.

"But in a sense, I think he’s an accidental killer. When he first killed Leo, it was actually scripted to be more of a scuffle for the phone and then he went over. But I decided, 'Let's let Stephen have a little more to do with that.'"
