Loose Women's Frankie Bridge recalls frightening moment strange man kissed her

Loose Women's Frankie Bridge was left shaken after a random man "grabbed her head" and planted a kiss on her lips.

The ITV panel were discussing whether people should ask for permission before kissing someone when Frankie, 34, brought up the strange moment she experienced with her co-stars Ruth Langsford, Brenda Edwards and Gloria Hunniford. The incident happened during her days with The Saturdays.

The girl group, who have been on hiatus since 2014, were doing a signing somewhere when the creepy man came out of nowhere and kissed her. Speaking on Tuesday's Loose Women, Frankie said: "I had it once a few years ago in The Saturdays. We were doing signings at the back, and I'm quite an anxious person in big groups of people anyway.

"I was talking to someone else and a man came in and grabbed my head and pulled me round and kissed me right on the lips, and before I even had time to register what had happened, he walked away and I was just kind of left there. Luckily, we had security and he scooped me up, basically, and took me inside and it really knocked me. Really shook me up.

"It's made me even more nervous in those kinds of situations, now." The conversation came about after Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales kissed Spain star Jenni Hermoso after the World Cup final. The footballer had just been presented with her World Cup winners medal by FIFA president Gianni Infantino after Spain beat England 1-0 in the final when she was greeted by Luis, who hugged her before grabbing her by the head and kissing her on the lips.

The incident drew widespread outrage from viewers, with Jenni stating she "did not enjoy that" when asked about the kiss on Instagram Live - and former England star Casey Stoney wrote on social media: "Would he kiss a male player like this? This is NOT ok".

Luis, meanwhile, said it was simply "a minor show of affection" and called those condemning his actions "idiots". He told Radio Marca : "The kiss with Jenni? There are idiots everywhere. When two people have a minor show of affection, we can't listen to idiocies. We are champions and that is what stays with me."

Jenni also released a statement saying: "It was a totally spontaneous mutual gesture because of the immense joy that winning a World Cup brings.

"The president and I have a great relationship, his behaviour with all of us has been outstanding and it was a natural gesture of affection and gratitude. A gesture of friendship and gratitude cannot be gone over so much, we have won a World Cup and we are not going to deviate from what is important."

Loose Women airs on ITV on weekdays at 12:30pm*
