Sky announces lowest ever price for broadband - huge deal you don't want to miss

If your broadband is both slow and very expensive, Sky might have the perfect solution. The company has just announced the launch of a new deal that includes its most powerful downloads at its lowest-ever price. The impressive cost cut means you'll now be charged £49.50 per month to access the web at speeds of around 900Mbps. At that rapid rate, you could whizz a full HD movie to your TV in under 40 seconds - that's over 10 times faster than the current UK average.

Sky usually charges £58 per month for the privilege of accessing these epic speeds so there's a total saving of more than £150 to be made over the course of the 18-month contract.

There is a £19.95 set-up fee to pay and the price will increase once the deal comes to an end but this is a pretty decent price for such fast speeds.

If 900Mbps sounds way too much for your needs then don't panic as there are plenty more offers from the firm including standard 36Mbps speeds for £26 per month - saving £8.50.

There's also Sky's 145Mbps which is currently reduced to £29.50 for a limited time - this service usually costs £38.

All of the deals above are based on an 18-month contract so make sure you are happy to sign up for that length of time before hitting the buy button.

The better the download speed the more you will pay so make sure you only upgrade to the power you really need.

A single person who simply wants to send a few emails and stream the odd show on Netflix shouldn't need anything more than a 30Mbps connection.

However, a house full of gadgets with people trying to stream in 4K, download games and make Zoom calls will need much faster speeds.

A busy family that doesn't want a sluggish connection should look at upgrading to at least 200Mbps or faster.
