England Women's heroics at the 2023 World Cup have once again raised the profile of women's football and sent interest in the Lionesses soaring.

Unfortunately, Sarina Wiegman's side were beaten at the final hurdle, with Spain taking the crown after a tense final, winning 1-0. Defeat ended the Lionesses hopes of adding the world title to their European Championship success in 2022, when they emerged victorious on home soil.

That triumph captivated the country and has driven both spectators and participants in female sport in record numbers, the likes of Alessia Russo, Mary Earps and Chloe Kelly becoming heroes across the country. Now the Women’s Super League (WSL) and Championship are on target to move out from under the FA umbrella and into an independent club-owned structure next summer.

Now, if you've enjoyed the World Cup tournament, you might be keen to joint he growing numbers of spectators watching the women's domestic league, with the WSL featuring the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City and Man United.

The opening round of fixtures for the 2023/24 Barclays WSL season will take place on October 1.
