Nineties boyband NSYNC are set to delight fans as they reunite to release music for the first time in 22 years.

The group, who split in 2002, are set to release new music for upcoming film Trolls Band Together. The band compromising of Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick will record and release the new track marking their first new track in over two decades since their last release with 'Girlfriend' in 2001.

Justin, who stars in the Trolls movie series and voices the character Branch, will return to the film franchise alongside costar Anna Kendrick. Justin's fellow bandmates are voicing surprise characters in the film, which is due for release in November later this year.

In the trailer for the feature film, it hints at the reunion as one character called Floyd tells Justin's character: "We’re out of sync. We’ve gone from boys to men, and now there’s only one direction for us to go: to the back streets."

The group formed in 1995 and quickly rose to fame before splitting seven years later as Justin's solo career took off. The last time the full group reunited was in 2018 when they received their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The band have previously teased fans with reunions, with four members joining Ariana Grande in 2019 for her headline set at Coachella. However, Justin was unable to join the group as he was on tour separately.

In 2021 Justin hinted at a possible reunion when he said: "I don’t have a crystal ball for what will happen with the music industry in the months, or years, to come. That’s something that weighs on my mind in a heavy way. We will have to see what happens in terms of live music and I appreciate the question, but my focus right now is on Palmer."

This isn't the only potential new music from Justin Timberlake as singer Nelly Furtado hinted that she has been working with the singer and with Timbaland on a new collaboration coming out. Last week Nelly teased that the three of them have a collaboration coming out as she said: "It started with Tim and JT. Tim texted me like, ‘Yo, I’ve got a track for you, it’s a dance vibe, for a trio,’ and I was like, ‘You mean with JT?’ And he was like, 'Yes'.

"Him and JT have been working on music for like a year already, separately from me, so they just had an idea and they wanted me to woman the ship a little in my direction so they could feed off that. We just cooked it up."
