Rita Ora praises Taika for ‘showing me what love is’ after list of bad romances
Rita Ora has lavished praise and love on her husband Taika Waititi as she marked his latest birthday - and she said he has shown her the meaning of love.
The 32-year-old chart topping star kissed a few frogs before she met New Zealand actor and director Taika - who turned 48-years-old on Wednesday. But it seems the wait was worth it, as the Praising You singer has found true happiness following a string of disastrous romances.
Rita and Tiaka tied-the-knot on 4 August last year, making this the second time the singer has been able to wish her husband a happy birthday while officially being his wife. And Reets didn’t hold back her affection as she shared a collection of snaps of Taika on Instagram along with a gushing declaration of love.
The star shared a collection of ten photos and videos of her beloved - some of the snaps and clips featuring Rita herself. She wrote: “Happy birthday to the funnest smartest man I have ever come across in my life.

And Taika himself seemed touched by Rita’s comment, responding to her post to return the affection. He proudly wrote in reply: “There aren't enough emojis on the planet to describe how happy I am.”
Rita and Taika have been together since 2021 - and recently shared snaps from their 2022 wedding after swapping vows last summer. But before that, Rita had a complex and complicated love life.

And Rita credits Taika for teaching her what true love feels like (Instagram)She had an on-off romance with American musician Andrew Watt that rumbled from 2016 until 2018, and then briefly again in 2019 - while during the 2018 hiatus, the Hot Right Now singer was linked to Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield.
Before getting with Andrew, Rita was linked to Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton in 2016, and before that she was reported to have enjoyed a fling with Blink 182 star Travis Barker in October 2015. The singer was rumoured to have briefly dated rap star bad boy Chris Brown in 2015 - mainly due to a steamy music video they starred in together for the track Body On Me. While before this, Reets was linked to A$AP Rocky - who has since fallen for music icon Rihanna and welcomed two children with her.

Perhaps most famously, however, she dated Scottish DJ Calvin Harris from 2013 until June 2014 - but the romance ended in explosive fashion with the bitter scotsman reportedly blocking Rita from releasing tracks they had recorded together. The DJ later attempted to downplay rumours he banned Rita from releasing the tracks, insisting that they just weren’t up to standard to be released.
Meanwhile, Taika was previously married to New Zealand film producer Chelsea Winstanley in 2011 and they have two daughters together. They split in 2018.
