Charlotte Crosby has revealed the secret reasoning behind her axe from MTV show, Geordie Shore.

The reality TV star, 33, who became a mum when she welcomed her first child earlier this year, has revealed that she has quit the iconic MTV reality show 'forever' after having a huge row while filming the new series in Cyprus.

Instead of prioritising booze and partying, first-time-mum Charlotte is now focused on spending her time with her daughter Alba, and her boyfriend Jake Ankers. Charlotte first joined the MTV series back in 2011 where she became a fan favourite over a five-year span before making a shock exit in 2016.

After appearing on a number of different shows, including Just Tattoo Of Us, Celebs Go Dating, and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Charlotte made her long-awaited return to Geordie Shore the Reunion last year. However, she has now revealed that she has no desire to return to the series after it turned out 'terribly wrong'.

Charlotte has admitted that she had a major bust up with producers after realising that the show was 'all wrong'. The new mum also revealed that she feels intense guilt for sharing her daughter and her boyfriend in the show which she had loved for so long.

"It just ended up going so terribly wrong. I don't know why but the whole series, I later discovered, was a bit weird. I'm sad for loads of reasons. I'm sad that I took Alba and Jake, my family, into a show that I loved so much and it went so badly wrong," she revealed on her podcast Always On.

Charlotte went on to reveal that it was a row over a high chair that caused her to quit the show, however she did not name who the altercation was with. "I feel like I could cry talking about it. I felt an immense amount of guilt for not knowing better. I just thought we were going to have such a good time. There was a silly argument, over a high chair of all things, that escalated. And I just left."

Through tears, Charlotte continued: "I just needed to get out of that environment. I'd never raised my voice in front of Alba ever, and I did in this argument, and I was like, 'Oh God, I feel absolutely terrible.' I've never gotten that angry and wound up. As a mam, you feel so guilty. I was riddled with guilt. I felt anxious, I felt guilty. I think in the weeks I came out of the show I just felt awful. I was so worried. Had I made a bad decision going in there with my family? For that reason, I definitely don't think I could be involved going forward again, which is so sad. It's not because of any particular person, and it's not because I wouldn't go back because I don't want to be with them."

Charlotte shot to fame as one of the original cast members of Geordie Shore in 2011 and she has appeared in over 100 episodes of the much-loved show.

The Mirror has contacted a Geordie Shore spokesperson for comment.
