Scarlett Moffatt fans have defended her from mum-shamers over a "staged photograph" shared to the star's Instagram page.

The I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! winner became a mother for the first time earlier this year when she gave birth to son Jude in June. The first-time mum has since been keeping her fans updated and delighted with snaps of her newborn and insights into how she's navigating being a parent.

Scarlett recently enjoyed a trip away with her new baby Jude but had to put a disclaimer on one of her photos shared to Instagram to avoid backlash from mum-shamers in the comments underneath. The 32-year-old posted a snap of her baby snuggled up on a cushion alongside their adorable dog.

Anticipating a barrage of negative comments, Scarlett told Instagram users : "*side note these are posed pics I don’t just let Jude chill out on cushions all day long." However, multiple fans immediately defended the star, with one writing: "You do not need to justify where you put YOUR baby!)."

While another penned: "It drives me mad that you have to write the part about posed pics before the k**** of the world start attacking you. You do you with your child and don’t explain to anybody." "Blimey definitely don’t explain yourself, any moaning Minnie’s out there just ignore/block, I used a V shaped pillow for my daughter she loved it probably spent over 50% of her time in it," another added.

The photo was taken while Scarlett went on a break away with Scott and their baby boy. The accommodation featured a separate hot tub and sauna. Scarlett has since raved about her trip saying it was "just 20 mins from our house but felt like we could have been in the middle of an enchanted forest".

Newlands Lodges has been popular with other celebs, with Love Island winner Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan having stayed there before. Other stars who have been there include Bobby Norris, Vicky Pattison, Bianca Gascoigne and Denise Welch.

Scarlett welcomed her first baby in June. Jude arrived early at 35 weeks and she has since been releasing updates with how she has been getting on with motherhood. Revealing the happy news to her followers, Scarlett said: "Jude Xavier Dobinson, My darling boy I can’t stop crying looking at you as I can’t quite believe you’re mine. You wanted to meet us early at just 35 weeks. Me & your daddy love you so much that I can’t even put this feeling into words. Our heart and soul feels complete & ready to burst. I will forever and always be grateful to be your mammy…"
