EastEnders fans 'work out' violent Bobby Beale twist in Freddie Slater 'attack'

Freddie Slater has become a firm fan favourite on EastEnders but, he could find himself at risk as he and best friend Bobby Beale continue to grow close to Gina and Anna Knight.

Viewers are convinced they've worked out a violent twist that could see one of the characters return to the dark side, leaving the other in grave danger. The lovable Walford resident and Bobby have been using every excuse possible to spend time with the Knight sisters ever since they arrived in Albert Square but, in Tuesday's instalment of the BBC soap, Freddie shared a heart-to-heart with Anna - the object of Bobby's affection.

Bobby asked Anna to help him arrange a surprise birthday party for Bernie in an attempt to spend more time with her but, she's unconvinced by his ideas so recruits Freddie to help.

Freddie couldn't face planning a party but changed his mind after opening up to Anna about his dad. As the pair shared a heart-to-heart, they bonded over their shared pain of being let down by absent parents.

Meanwhile, EastEnders viewers suspect sparks could fly between the two, which could jeopardise Freddie's friendship with Bobby.

Sharing a theory in an EastEnders forum, one Reddit fan wrote: "Is there some tension growing between Bobby and Freddie? seems Bobby is jealous / not happy with Anna and Freddie being friends. I know bobby is reformed but given his past of sudden violence when angry it makes me wonder if maybe they could go back to not pretending he didn’t attack his mother with a hockey stick and paralyse her."

Another agreed: "I was wondering the same thing. We'll just have to see more to see if it develops."

EastEnders fans will remember Bobby accidentally killed his older sister Lucy after attacking her with a jewellery box out of frustration. He later attacked his adoptive mother Jane by hitting her over the head with a hockey stick in 2016.

Bobby returned to Walford in 2019 and has slowly pieced his life back together having slowly earned acceptance from his neighbours but, could jealously take hold of him?

Freddie is struggling in Walford as he processes his absent father while Anna is desperate to track down her missing mum. Will they fall for each other while Bobby gets his heart broken?
