Taryn Manning has taken to Instagram to share an apology after detailing her sexual encounters with a married man.

She posted a now-deleted video to TikTok in which she shared that she was sleeping with a married man who told Taryn he would leave his wife for her. Taryn went into graphic detail about what she and this man have done together, including telling the world she was "l****g his b******e because he liked it." She also claimed in the video that the man's wife is trying to get a restraining order against her.

Her Instagram post was a black screen with white text. It started off by saying: "Over the past few days, I've had some time to reflect on the situation I've been dealing with." She admitted she "should've just dealt with them quietly with the support of my close friends and family. I felt a lot of guilt after exposing everything and thought maybe the best resolution to the situation would be to say I lied about it all, but that is not the truth."

Taryn said she prides herself on "being an ethical and kind person" even though she had an affair with a married man, but explained: "The heart makes you do crazy things sometimes." Though she apologised for the video, she refused to apologise for "how" she loves, expressing: "I hope to find somebody who cherishes me the way I adore them. A healthy type of love. A love that isn't so blind that it forces me to be somebody I'm not." She ended the statement by asking for privacy so she can "heal and mend my heart".

The 44-year-old actress starred in Orange Is The New Black as Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett. She was a main character in all seven seasons of the show and along with her castmates won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2015, 2016, and 2017. The cast was nominated in 2018 but lost that year to HBO's Veep.

The video she posted on TikTok was about three minutes long and showed Taryn sitting in the drivers seat of a car as she talked to the camera. Along with the graphic details and restraining order, she also talked about her love for the married man, saying she drove to Newport Beach in California to buy him a boat because she "really loved him" and was devastated he wasn't leaving his wife for her.
