Inside Beckham and Messi 'fight night' as brawl erupts after cosy celeb selfies
David Beckham was all smiles as he posed alongside Lionel Messi at a Miami restaurant on Friday night - before events took a turn for the worst and violence exploded at the venue.
In scenes that would make even hardened football hooligans wince, the 48-year-old former England star and the 36-year-old Argentinian legend found themselves on the fringes of a fight at Gekko - a restaurant owned by rap sensation Bad Bunny. Dave was joined by his 49-year-old wife Victoria Beckham and at least one of their children at the glitzy venue.
And Vicky was more than happy to share intimate snaps from the night via her Instagram page. She uploaded a photo of Dave and Lionel along with two other men from inside the venue, with all four boys flashing warm smiles while sat in front of glasses of wine.
And the former Spice Girl flashed a peace sign at the camera as she posed for photos alongside a couple of gal pals. But peace quickly turned to violence amid reports security battered a fellow diner amid confusion surrounding photographs.
Vicky swiftly took her 12-year-old daughter Harper Seven out of the venue as violence scenes unfolded. While reports have emerged with a man claiming he was left beaten and bloodied after venue security turned on him.
Mbappe misses two penalties and open goal in one minute before going off injuredIt has been suggested that the man who was allegedly assaulted had been accused of trying to take photos of Lionel and his wife Antonela before things turned physical. The unnamed man denied he was trying to snap the celebs, and claims he was simply trying to take photos of his own family as he was out celebrating his daughter’s 21st birthday.
He told the Daily Mail: “They jumped at us, they kicked me out and punched me in the face. Just because my homeboy was trying to take a picture with his wife, not with Beckham or Messi, nothing. It was a family thing.”
Footage has emerged online of the man, his face streaming with blood and his t-shirt splattered with blood too, after the violence erupted at around 10pm local time. In the background of the footage, a woman can be heard screaming: “He's a family man, celebrating his daughter's 21st birthday.”
Further footage has shown Victoria ushering her daughter to the safety of a car before being driven home. Other sport stars who were at the venue included Inter Miami stars Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
Lionel’s wife Antonela shared photos from inside the venue on the night too. She shared snaps of herself with Victoria and further photos of herself dancing beside Lionel. The Forward himself, dressed in a mint green t-shirt and white linen shorts, flashed a gormless smile for the camera as he enjoyed his night.
