Celebrity MasterChef in new 'fix' row as Max George is accused of cheating again

Celebrity MasterChef has been embroiled in a fresh 'fix' row as Max George is accused of cheating for a second time.

The Wanted star had been competing on the show where he has been showing off his cooking skills to judges John Torode and Greg Wallace. However, it seems as though viewers think he has been cheating when producing his dishes.

During Friday's show, Max, along with comedian Shazia Mizra and broadcaster Terry Christian, had to create two dishes to impress the judges and a panel of former celebrity contestants. They were given the challenge of coming up with their own meals to help them get a place in the semi-finals.

But, fans were left disappointed as they accused the singer of "cheating" for the second time in a week. Max said he would be creating an interpretation of a Burmese curry which was a dish he had been taught to create by A-list chefs in a top London restaurant in the round before.

Max made a Burmese curry with Asian noodles with chicken cooked in ginger, garlic and chilli. John then asked for more information about his chicken and asked him if he was basing it upon anything else he had ever eaten.

It was then that Max admitted he had made something "similar" to his dish in a previous round. Max said: "When I went to the restaurant to work, it was a Burmese restaurant and they made something similar."

Viewers took to social media to say they thought Max was "cheating". One wrote: "Err isn't that what Max cooked in the pro kitchen. Did he think we wouldn't notice?" As a second said: "Max copying the restaurant menu is just cheating," with a third adding: "So Max just cooked what he had to make at the restaurant...?"

Max was previously accused of cheating when he claimed he didn't cook at home. At the start of the show he said that he lied on his application form for Celebrity MasterChef just to get on the show.

He said he cooked "four times a week" but admitted that he "doesn't cook at all" but fans were left confused as he impressed judges in the kitchen.

One viewer said: "Can't cook but making steak, jam and custard," as another wrote: "Is Max George lying about not knowing how to cook?"
