Mob charges after Brit before he is 'beaten to death by bouncers'
A huge gang of burly men was seen viciously attacking a Brit outside a nightclub in Cyprus before he died in hospital.
In a horrific clip, which The Mirror has decided not to show due to its graphic nature, a man thought to be 29-year-old British national Huseyin Mavideniz was knocked to the floor with a powerful punch before another man was seen jumping in and stamping on his head.
According to initial police reports, it was said that Huseyin sustained a number of fatal blows after being repeatedly punched outside a club in Iskele in the north of Cyprus in the early hours of Thursday morning.
He was then rushed to a hospital in Famagusta where doctors were unable to save his life. Another mob, said to be members of his family, then allegedly turned up at the A&E department and smashed the windows in. Images from the facility show the entrance area covered with shattered glass.
A 26-year-old man is now in police custody and cops were searching for an additional suspect this morning. In the footage, a group of men are seen rushing from what appears to be a nightclub as one of them hits Huseyin with a devastating blow. He immediately falls to the floor as a huge puddle of blood appears on the floor.
Man in 30s dies after being stabbed in park sparking police probeAfter the horror attack, one of the bouncers stands over the unconscious man and erupts, shouting in Turkish just a few inches from his face. A woman recording the footage can be heard saying in English, "This is so bad", as she watches the horrific scenes unfold in front of her.
Dr Eyüp Göksu from the hospital told Yeniduzen: "He died when he came to the hospital. The cops are investigating right now. We will receive detailed information from our doctors on duty." He was reportedly in the country with his father, who was undergoing medical treatment.
Friends Hilmi and Tania Ozalgan paid tribute to Hyseyin: "We came to think of him as a friend as he was a very nice, kind and friendly person. He was also very respectful. He truly was a diamond who will be very much missed by ourselves and I’m sure by his family and many friends."
Earlier this year, a British woman was found dead with "bruises all over her body" at her home in Cyprus. The 38-year-old woman is understood to have been found at an apartment she shared with her partner in Kato Paphos, in the west of the country.
The Cyprus Mail reported that the woman's partner informed local authorities of the death saying he found the woman when he returned to their home. Police launched a probe into the death, with forensic officers collecting evidence at the scene for examination, head of Cyprus police Michalis Nikolaou said. Initial examinations found the woman had bruises all over her body and periocular hematomas ( black eye) in both eyes.
