A late-breaking school holiday offer will save families £148 on entrance fees, as well as discounted accommodation for an unusual overnight stay.

The theme park and zoo complex at Chessington World of Adventures is one the UK's most popular attractions, and visitors who are able to book their break today, August 11, can get a free second day at the park on overnight stays up until September, 24.

With short break safari prices starting from £199, or just £50 per person, for a family of four between now and the last week of September, a trip to Chessington could be the perfect overnight adventure as the new school year approaches.

Tucked away in an exclusive corner of the park, just a stone's throw away from all the wild action, guests can stay on-site in a 'glamping' tent, and the price includes access to the exclusive Explorers Outpost cafe, PAWsome family entertainment and a dip in the Savannah Splash Pool (a £3 fee applies for the pool).

The short break deal represents excellent value for money for adventurers who book today. With entrance to the park costing £33 for an advance online ticket, two days of entrance for a family of four alone will cost £264 after the deal expires.

Even on the most expensive dates in August, when prices rise to £309 for a safari stay and a second day free, intrepid fun hunters will only be paying £45 for their overnight accommodation.

What's on at Chessington World of Adventure this summer?

Located just over an hour outside of central London, Chessington World of Adventures is packed full of rides and animal experiences for visitors of all ages.

Guests come from miles away to spin on the Kobra ride in the heart of Wild Asia, soar on Vampire in Wild Woods, see the giraffes rhinos and flamingos on 'ZUFARI: Ride into Africa' and avoid getting soaked on the Scorpion Express and Rameses Revenge. The park is also home to its very own Sea Life Centre and the Amazu Treetop Adventure play centre.

This summer guests can pay a visit to the all-new World of Jumanji and enjoy three new rides including the world’s only Jumanji-themed roller coaster. Home to more than 1,000 animals, the Wilderfest event is also running until September, 3, bringing some of the fiercest artists in the animal kingdom to the Mane Stage.

Overnight stays can be booked on the Chessington World of Adventures website. If a bell tent isn't for you, overnight stays with free second day entrance are also available at the Azteca Resort Hotels for an additional cost.
