Stranger Things fans will recognise Jamie Campbell Bower from his villainous role in the fourth season, but may not have realised that he was also in the Twilight film series.

The actor, now 34, played the main antagonist Vecna in the latest season of the Netflix show, which aired last year. It's been teased that the character - previously known as Henry Creel and One - will return for the upcoming final season.

The role led to acclaim for Jamie over his performance in the beloved show, but it isn't the first high-profile project that he's appeared in. Jamie was previously a cast member in the film adaptations of the Twilight book series.

Jamie played vampire Caius in three instalments in the series. He first appeared in New Moon (2009), before reprising the role in Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (2011). He was later in the final instalment of Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (2012).

Caius is a leader within the Volturi coven. The coven is a collective who are considered royalty among other vampires. The Volturi act as 'guardians,' keeping the existence of vampires hidden from the human world.

Unlike others in the coven, Caius isn't known to have supernatural power. He's however considered to have been the most ruthless of the group, which also included Aro (played by Michael Sheen) and Jane (Dakota Fanning).

Jamie has been in various other projects in his career, including having played a young Gellert Grindelwald in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 (2010). He returned in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018).

He played Jace Wayland in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (2013) and his film debut was as Anthony Hope in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007). He played King Arthur in the Starz series Camelot in 2011.

Jamie joined the cast of Stranger Things for its fourth season, which was released in two volumes through Netflix last year. It's been teased that he'll return for the upcoming fifth season, which is set to be the show's final season.

Stranger Things villain Jamie Campbell Bower's forgotten Twilight roleJamie also appeared as Vecna in Stranger Things' latest season, which aired last year (Netflix)

He first appeared as the villainous figure Vecna from the Upside Down. The character is introduced in the opening episode of the fourth season and is believed to have been responsible for terrifying events in the previous seasons.

The actor also appears as Henry - also known as One - in scenes prior to the character's transformation into Vecna. Henry, who has telepathic abilities, was placed under the care of Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) and later became an orderly, who interacts with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). The latter ends up sending Henry to the Upside Down during a fight, where he ultimately becomes Vecna.
