Tributes are being paid to a doting mum described by friends as 'the most beautiful girl inside and out' after her sudden death.

Becky Collins was just 35 and leaves a 12-year-old son after she died suddenly at her flat in Whalley Range, Manchester, last week. Her niece had a summer holidays sleepover with Becky and her son, but tragically she was found to have died in the morning, her devastated family revealed.

Becky suffered a previous heart attack at the age of 30. The family said they are now waiting for the results of a post-mortem examination to shed light on the tragedy and possibly determine a cause of death, reports the MEN.

Becky's heartbroken mum, Marie Collins, said the family have concerns over the physical state and furnishings of the flat Becky and her son were living in. She said she would be raising questions with a coroner ahead of any inquest. It is understood Becky had lived in the private-rented flat for more than 10 years. She passed away on August 3.

Friends are now rallying round the family by launching a huge fundraiser to support her young son. Mum Marie, 55, from Ordsall, Salford, said: "We saw her the day before. She was lovely, she was happy and she was smiling. There was nothing wrong with her at all.

"They are doing a post-mortem examination and it might be her heart, but we don't know. They said it could take up to 10 days and that was a few days ago. Becky was born in Salford and we lived in the Cromwell Road area. She went to Charlestown Primary School and The Albion high school. Becky worked in a number of jobs before her heart attack, but her whole life circled around her son.

"He was the sun and she was a planet - she doted on him and was a brilliant mum. She was lovely, she was generous to a fault and she was beautiful." Marie said the heart attack several years ago came out of the blue, but said they had since learned that Becky has a hereditary heart condition. She was rushed to Wythenshawe Hospital at the time and went on to be prescribed with lifelong medication.

Marie praised the support the family have received since news emerged of Becky's death. She said: "We have heard from friends that Becky had since she was eight years old. I want to thank everyone for their support, good wishes and donations. "If Becky could see the love that is out there for her, she would be blown away. There are good people out there in the world. Becky will never be forgotten."

The appeal on GoFundMe said Becky's family and friends were 'in total shock' at her sudden death. It reads: "She was the most beautiful girl inside and out with a pure heart of gold, the type of girl you were blessed if you knew because she was the most beautiful girl with the biggest heart.

"Becky has left behind a young son and we would be ever so grateful if you could donate even a tiny amount to help give her the send off she absolutely deserves. She was such a beautiful, kind-hearted girl and so loved by all who knew her." You can visit the fundraiser here.
