Fulham and Tottenham will contest one of two all-Premier League ties in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

The two London clubs will battle it out at Craven Cottage for a place in the next round, while Nottingham Forest will host Burnley in the other clash between two top-flight sides.

Chelsea have been handed a favourable draw as they welcome AFC Wimbledon to Stamford Bridge, while Everton make the tricky trip to Doncaster and Wolves host Blackpool.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United play Lincoln, Crystal Palace travel to Plymouth, Luton welcome Gillingham and Bournemouth make the trip to Swansea.

And Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson will meet with his old club Bradford as the League Two side look to go on another inspiring cup run.

The second round fixtures will take place in the week commencing August 28.

That's all, folks

That's your Carabao Cup second round draw done and dusted!

We'll see you back here for the mouthwatering ties when they take place at the end of this month.

In the meantime, stay tuned with all the latest news right here on Mirror Football.

Pochettino won't hate Chelsea's draw

Mauricio Pochettino never won the Carabao Cup with Tottenham, but he did lead them to the final in 2015.

On that occasion they came up short against Chelsea, with John Terry and Diego Costa on target.

Now the Argentine finds himself in the Blues dugout, just two years after Jose Mourinho - his opposite number that day - led Spurs into the final (but was sacked before it took place).

Pochettino's Chelsea host AFC Wimbledon in round two, and will be glad to have avoided a tricky away trip.

The Phil Parkinson derby

After beating Wigan, Wrexham have been handed a tie with an extra bit of spice.

Red Dragons boss Phil Parkinson will host Bradford City, a club where he previously spent a memorable five years.

That spell is perhaps best known for the Bantams' run in the 2012-13 edition of this competition, when the fourth-tier side beat Premier League opponents Wigan, Arsenal and Aston Villa en route to the final.

Now managed by former Wales boss Mark Hughes, Bradford beat Accrington on penalties in round one.

The all-Premier League ties

Rather neatly, these are split into one in the northern half of the draw and one in the southern half.

Premier League newcomers Burnley travel to the City Ground to face last season's semi-finalists Nottingham Forest, while Spurs have a short trip across London to take on Fulham.

Ange Postecoglou's side added Manor Solomon to their ranks this summer after the Israel international spent last season at Craven Cottage, while former Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon is also on their books.

Marco Silva's side also have an ex-Spurs man, with Carlos Vinicius scoring nine of his 10 Tottenham goals in cup competitions during one season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Taking us back to 2004

Tranmere v Leicester isn't the only final rerun in the northern section.

Bolton and Middlesbrough were both Premier League sides when they met at the Millennium Stadium in 2004, but both have since dropped down the pyramid.

Back in 2004, Boro opened up a two-goal lead inside 10 minutes through Joseph-Desire Job and Bolo Zenden, and Kevin Davies' response for the Trotters wasn't enough to deny Steve McClaren's side.

Both sides secured narrow victories in the first round this year. Zac Ashworth's goal was enough for Bolton to see off Barrow, while Boro came from behind to win 3-2 at Huddersfield.

Leicester's final repeat

We knew we were in for a fun draw when the first match drawn was a repeat of a previous final.

Former Leicester boss Martin O'Neill was tasked with drawing the away teams, and he picked out the Foxes to face Tranmere - a team who they beat in the 2000 final when the Northern Irishman was in charge.

On that occasion, Leicester made hard work of lower-league Tranmere in the last final to be played at the old Wembley Stadium, but a Matt Elliott double gave them victory.

Rovers were made to work hard themselves in the first round of this season's competition, beating Barnsley on penalties after conceding an equaliser in the eighth minute of stoppage time.
