Jordan Love has been hailed by his teammates after impressing at training camp this offseason, with David Bakhtiari convinced that their new starting quarterback is destined for greatness.

There has been an overwhelming amount of change within the Green Bay Packers this summer, the biggest being the loss of franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The 39-year-old ended his 18-year stay in Wisconsin and was traded to the New York Jets, and both Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb went with him.

The Packers knew this day would come and selected Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and after patiently waiting he's finally got his chance to be their starter. Love has already impressed team-mates this offseason and now Bakhtiari has taken it to the next level.

It's worth saying that Bakhtiari is a known joker, and it's likely that his comment should be taken lightly. But the offensive tackle was asked about Love's future and replied: "Hall of Fame, first ballot."

There is no doubting Love's talent, and if he wasn't ready for the opportunity at the Packers then they would've signed a new quarterback. But his teammates are genuinely on board with the 24-year-old and believe he can be a worthy replacement for Rodgers.

Even Rodgers himself had some complimentary words for Love, as he said: "Jordan's going to be a great player. He's a f****** great kid; he had a really good year (last) year, he's getting better. He's got a bright future in front of him. They've got a bright young team."

But those still at the franchise think highly of him, and Romeo Doubs even thinks there's nothing Love can't do that Rodgers does. "I think Jordan is a really good quarterback," Doubs told SpectrumNews1.com.

"When you go from Aaron Rodgers to Jordan, Aaron was a really great quarterback, but I believe Jordan can do the same exact thing. So I don’t really see what’s the big difference. I see a progression.

"I see it going up. I don’t see the Packers going down. I only focus on our room and our team in this organisation. This organisation is historic, and it’s only winning. That’s all. When you hear Green Bay, it’s no losing, it’s only winning."

Despite Doubs' apparent dig at Rodgers, the new Jets quarterback went out of his way to wish Love luck ahead of the new season. Love appreciated the message, and looked extremely grateful when he told reporters.

"Aaron reached out to me," Love told reporters. "He said, 'Just be yourself, have fun, enjoy it, that it's obviously my time now and to enjoy it.'"
