Rapper Tory Lanez is being trolled online after posting on social media in September of 2021 that he is unbothered and relaxing at home while Twitter users are "celebrating and thinking I’m going to jail."

Tory's old Tweet resurfaced after the 31-year-old rapper was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion during a court hearing at the Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday. During the hearing, the rapper was found guilty of carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle, assault with a semiautomatic handgun, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

In response to the rapper's old Tweet hundreds of Megan Thee Stallion fans took to the thread sharing memes about how Tory is now being sent to prison.

One Twitter user wrote: "Damn Tory now we watching you go to jail" using the same gif as the original Tweet. Another then added: "Aged like Milk. Enjoy your 10 years" with a SpongeBob gif of a police officer locking up a prisoner in jail murmuring "low life."

This sentencing came after Tory was reported to have shot rapper Megan Thee Stallion and injured her feet after a pool party in Hollywood Hills in July of 2020. The shooting took place after a heated car ride in which the two rappers reportedly attacked one another's music careers. At the time the two were heading to their rental home in a black SUV driven by Tory's security guard.

During the argument, the security guard was asked to pull over and Megan exited the car. Tory then reportedly pulled a handgun and shot at her feet. After the shooting incident, Megan had to stay in the hospital for four days and underwent surgery before needed to go to physical therapy to walk again.

After Tory received his 10-year sentence, his lawyer Jose Baez spoke to journalists outside of the courthouse Tuesday and said that he believed the rapper's sentence was too harsh and that Tory would appeal his conviction. His attorney claimed that he had not received a fair trail and they had sought a sentence of probation.
