Delivery meal kits slashed in supermarket-busting £11 deal

Trying out new recipes can feel daunting at first, it can be expensive to buy in all of the ingredients for something that you're not even sure you'd enjoy eating. As a result, meal kits are something that are proving popular, as they give you the chance to try something new with a little less risk.

As the cost of living rises and supermarket prices rise on everyday essentials a deals website is offering shoppers a chance to try delivered meal kits at prices that cost less than £2 per meal.

With Wowcher, shoppers now have the chance to try some of the most popular recipe boxes, coming with all the ingredients and seasonings you need for just over £10. Gousto and HelloFresh are both making an appearance with the offer and they're some of the most popular options on the market.

There are a number of meal kits available from both retailers, with HelloFresh having the cheapest box available. There are seven different options available, with prices starting at £11 for one week of three meals for two people.

There are a variety of HelloFresh variations available, with the biggest option being four weeks of four meals each, for four people, priced at £99.99. Working out at about £1.50 per meal, per person.

Some highlights in HelloFresh's upcoming menus that might be worth grabbing are: Crispy Sea Bass and Lime Coriander Rice with Sweet Chilli Sugar Snaps and Baby Corn from the premium menu, Ultimate Red Thai Style King Prawn Curry with Mangetout, Peanuts and Zesty Rice from the Ultimate menu and the veggie friendly 'Big Cheesy' which is a plant-based cheesy burger served with max & cheese, burger sauce and a side salad.

Gousto doesn't have quite as many boxes up for grabs through Wowcher but all plans are less than £20. The cheapest option is to have three dishes for two people, for one week, priced at £11.50. The the most expensive is four dishes, for four people, for one week at £18.

Gousto has a range of menu options to pick from, including 10-Minute Meals, such as Smoky Garlic King Prawn & Pea Spaghetti, Prepped in 5, which includes oven dishes that take little maintenance and 11 plant based options to make it more accessible for vegans. If you avoid dairy or gluten there's even a menu for that.
