How to watch Premier League this season and cheapest TV deals for fans
Friday night sees the long wait for Premier League football finally over as Burnley host Manchester City.
But with the cost of living crisis hitting fans hard, many will be wondering what is the cheapest way to catch all the action this weekend. TV Broadcast rights for the Premier League are currently split three ways in a deal that runs until the end of the 24/25 season.
A total of 200 games will be shown live across Sky Sports, TNT Sports (formerly BT Sport) and Amazon Prime. In order to catch all the games this weekend, fans will need access to both Sky and TNT, with the latter showing Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest in the early kickoff on Saturday. Unbelievably, there is even a way to watch Premier League fixtures for free.
The cheapest way to do this is through NOW TV, which provides access to Sky Sports channels at a cost of £11.98 for a day pass, or £34.99 a month. TNT Sports can be added for existing BT Broadband customers accounts for £25 a month, though this does come with a £39.99 startup fee, or you can purchase a monthly pass for £29.99.
This means that at a minimum, fans will be paying £64.98 to access all games this weekend, though this would also allow them to watch every live game this month. Comparatively, the average available ticket price for Premier League clubs’ cheapest seating option is £33.15, meaning fans could watch two games in person for around the same price as watching them all on TV this weekend.

But the cheapest option of all is most likely watching the games at the local pub. With the Office of National Statistics putting the average price of a pint of draught lager at £4.57 as of June 2023, fans could buy 14 pints of beer at their local and still have change from the £64.98 TV cost of watching the Premier League at home this weekend.
