A new video that has emerged after the violent brawl that broke out in Alabama shows a man diving into the water to escape.

The chaotic and violent altercation erupted at Montgomery, Alabama's Riverfront Park, reportedly originating from a dispute over a boat obstructing another vessel's mooring spot. Numerous videos from various angles, widely shared on social media, have quickly gained millions of views, showcasing the brawl's shocking intensity.

The video shows the man intertwined in the fight, getting beaten up by multiple people, and gradually approaching the edge of the dock. Eventually, after getting pushed by the others, the man falls into the waters and escapes the violent situation.

The initial clash unfolded between a dock guard and a group of white boaters, with multiple members of the group viciously assaulting the guard while horrified bystanders looked on. Striking footage even depicted a teenager swimming across the river to reach the guard.

The situation escalated dramatically, with people being hurled into the water, chairs smashed over heads, and others being brutally beaten while on the ground.

Law enforcement was summoned to the scene, resulting in the detention of several individuals, pending charges. An eyewitness, named Lauren Spivey, provided an account of the triggering incident. She explained that a small boat had obstructed the docking of a larger riverboat.

A Black employee approached the small boat to request its relocation, at which point a white man from the small boat intervened, sparking a heated argument. The confrontation escalated further when the employee insisted that the small boat be moved to allow space for the larger riverboat.

Spivey shared with CNN that the guests on the riverboat had waited for approximately 30 to 45 minutes, reluctant to touch the obstructing boat, but no one from the small boat offered assistance. The altercation intensified as the white man pushed the employee and threw a punch, prompting others from the small boat to join in the attack, leaving the worker on the ground.

Expressing her astonishment, Spivey highlighted the "entitlement" displayed by the occupants of the small boat, who assaulted the worker and then nonchalantly returned to their vessel without attempting to leave. She recounted, "They got back on their little boats down there like nothing happened, like nothing happened. And the whole time the Harriott is still slowly coming in sideways so they can dock."

Eventually, the riverboat managed to dock, triggering a second brawl between its staff and those from the small boat. Videos depicted punches, chair assaults, and individuals falling into the water.

Spivey predicted the escalating chaos as the riverboat approached the dock, saying, "I knew once that boat hit that dock … all hell was gonna break loose." The violence extended along the dock, with punches thrown and one individual even being knocked into the water.

Another video captured a separate violent incident nearby, where an unidentified man and woman, both appearing to be white, were assaulted by unknown assailants, including the use of a folding chair.

Police eventually intervened to quell the disturbances. Montgomery Mayor Steven L. Reed assured that justice would be served and indicated that those responsible for attacking the riverboat employee would face legal consequences. The incident raised concerns about potential racial elements due to the involved groups, although it remains unclear if racial motives fueled the fight.

Notably, Montgomery, renowned for its historical civil rights events, has witnessed previous instances of viral brawls on social media. A comparable incident involving women was documented at a Las Vegas hotel earlier, featuring a chaotic fight erupting on the casino floor.
