Natasha Hamilton has admitted to a 'flight fail' after being mum-shamed for travelling while heavily pregnant.

The Atomic Kitten star, 41, is due to give birth to her fifth child in September but squeezed in a trip abroad recently. Taking to Instagram to tell her followers she'd had the 'holiday from hell', the singer explained she hadn't booked "assistance" to help her through the airport in Germany from where she was catching a connecting flight.

Opening up about her nightmare journey, she said: "As I found out travelling recently - I did not have assistance booked in advance and when I arrived in Germany I had to get to a different terminal to make a connecting flight. The gap was tight and we’d already been delayed leaving the UK. Needless to say, I couldn’t run & we missed the connection and then had to get a 3rd flight that day to get to our destination - it took me 18 hours in total to get to where I needed to be, it was a trip from hell!"

As well as missing her connection, Natasha also revealed she'd been inundated with questions from fans asking if she should still be travelling, given her due date.

Giving her tips for expectant mothers, the singer advised them to wear flight socks, open sandals, Kool & Soothe pads to put on the back of the neck, and, most importantly, a Fit to Fly certificate. Giving more details about the important document, she said: "Most airlines will allow you to fly up to 35 weeks on short-haul flights and around 28 weeks on long haul. But if you are asked to produce one and you don't have one, the airline can stop you from flying."

The mum-of-four's fans flocked to the comments section, telling the Whole Again star she still looked fabulous despite her flight fiasco. "Still our beautiful Tash" gushed one while another said: "Sorry to hear about this Natasha, you look amazing though."

However, a third warned expectant mums to be careful if they were going on a cruise, sharing: "Beware of cruising though. I had one booked and couldn’t go. You can only cruise up to 24 weeks."

Natasha announced she was expecting a baby girl earlier this year with her husband Charles Gay. Posting a video of herself surrounded by her family and a cannon of pink confetti, she wrote: “Well here it is…..we finally found out if I’ve been baking a boy or a girl. Absolutely buzzing! What a gorgeous moment with the kids, heart totally full xxx.”
