Claim Baldur's Gate 3 Twitch Drops now on PC and PS5
Larian Studios is allowing Baldur's Gate 3 players the chance to earn some exclusive loot for their characters by watching streams through the Twitch Drops programme.
Baldur's Gate 3 has finally released after a three-year stint in Early Access. To celebrate, Larian Studios is offering Baldur's Gate 3 players on PC and PS5 (and future players) the chance to nab some exclusive drip by watching Twitch streams of the acclaimed CRPG. The Camp Clothing Set is a lovely purple piece of kit, available in two separate styles. Larian Studios announced the drops on the Baldur's Gate 3 website ahead of launch.
The Baldur's Gate 3 Twitch Drops will be available to claim until 5pm BST / 12pm EDT / 9am PDT on Thursday, August 17. However, if you're waiting to buy the game later down the line – or waiting on the PS5 version to release on September 6, 2023 – don't worry, you can still claim the Baldur's Gate 3 Twitch drops now so that they're waiting for you when you finally get the game.
To claim your Twitch Drops, firstly, you'll need a Twitch account and a Larian account to redeem these outfits. So make sure to get those set up so that you can redeem them.
What's included in the Baldur's Gate 3 Twitch Drops
The Baldur's Gate 3 Twitch Drops reward is the Camp Clothing Set – a snazzy purple number that's almost jester-like in appearance. You'll receive four items through the drop:
- Chatterbox's Tabard
- Streamhopper Loafers
- Periwinkle Undergarments
- Channeler's Trunks
Larian has mentioned that while you can pick up other versions of the Camp Clothes Set in the game, these specific garments are exclusive to Baldur's Gate 3 Twitch Drops.
How to get the Baldur's Gate 3 Twitch Drops
To get the Baldur's Gate 3 Twitch Drops you'll first need to link your Twitch account to your Larian account. If you haven't linked them within seven days of earning the drops they will expire. After that's done, follow these steps:
- Head onto the Baldur's Gate 3 game page on Twitch
- Look for streams tagged with 'DropsEnabled'
- Watch Baldur's Gate 3 streams for two hours
- Claim them in your Twitch Drops locker
Once you've claimed the items in your Twitch Drops locker you'll be able to find them in-game at the Camp Chest.
It's worth noting that you can jump between eligible streams, as long as they have that 'DropsEnabled' tag. But watch time is tracked by channel so you unfortunately can't have two channels on for one hour to trick the system.
Obviously, Twitch can't track your eyes, so if you don't want to see anything about the game ahead of you playing it, but still want to unlock Baldur's Gate 3 Twitch Drops, you can stick the stream on in a tab in the background – your watch time will still be counted.
