Football is back! Well kind of….

It never really does go away any more does it? Between post-season internationals, pre-season friendlies, MLS, this year’s Women’s World Cup and the never-ending discourse that surrounds the transfer market, football and the business which follows it is 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

At Mirror Football, we try to keep you across it all: From talking points, to breaking news, transfer deals, gossip, the best stories from your club, the most piercing opinions and beyond.

And with the return of the new domestic football season, it leaves us to do our best Steven Gerrard impression and say: “We go again!”

As we has always tried to do, we will look to bring you the best football content that you want and that you deserve. Nobody is more important to us than you, our reader.

Be it breaking news, the Premier League, EFL, women's football, what's happening in Saudi Arabia, issues surrounding football and the LGBTQ community, opinion pieces from the likes of Robbie Savage, Andy Dunn & John Cross, or deep dives into major events and agenda-setting stories, Mirror Football will continue striving to do as much as we possibly can to give you the most extensive football coverage that we possibly can.

To paraphrase Ted Lasso, this new season smells like potential. So we will try to be better each and every day. Because if we aren't trying to be better, whether for ourselves or for you, then we aren't doing this properly.

Also, it would be remiss of me not to tell you that there’s no shortage of places where you can find Mirror Football these days to get your football fix.

We’re not only on the website anymore. There’s also Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Threads, YouTube and, shortly, we’ll be looking to bring you the latest news faster than ever before with our new WhatsApp service…. keep an eye out for that, dropping soon.

And while we might be on the subject of football don’t worry, Mirror Sport won’t be forgotten as 2023 continues. Be it F1, tennis, cricket, rugby, boxing, MMA or golf, we’ve got you covered on all fronts.

With all that being said, join us as we continue looking to move forwards and offer you the best, most widespread coverage we possibly can.

Cheers.
