Emmerdale newbie Kyle Rowe appeared in rival soaps before landing ITV role

Kyle Rowe has made his way to the Dales after appearing in several rival soaps over the years. The actor has taken on the role of Corey Sanderson, an old school friend of Nate Robinson (played by Jurell Carler), in ITV's Emmerdale.

His character is hoping to go into business with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and some viewers believe he might be sketchier than people think. At one point, Nate begged Corey for a job but was told he couldn't help. Soaps fans might recognise the character from several other popular soaps.

In 2018, Kyle appeared in Coronation Street as Ethan Corrin for two episodes. Ethan met up for drinks with Josh - who raped David Platt. David waited for Ethan to get into a cab outside his flat and followed the car to the pub where Josh was waiting.

Billy Mayhew managed to convince David not to stab Josh and later approached Ethan and warned him of Josh's disgusting behaviour. Kyle also briefly appeared as Hue in an episode of EastEnders in 2019 and, in 2021, appeared as Kai Southcliffe in Doctors.

Back in the Dales, fans were worried when Nate went to Corey's 'office' to discuss a possible career opportunity. Viewers were convinced Nate might be in big trouble.

"The office doesn’t look very professional. Something [is] dodgy with Nate’s mate", one Emmerdale fan said while another posted: "Nate saying his old mate has done well for himself, working out of a porta-cabin with cans of ‘Tizz-Fizz’ on the table. Don’t think so."

"Why is Nate's friend acting like a drug dealer?", another user questioned. Meanwhile, super soap week is approaching in October and Charity Dingle star Emma Atkins opened up about what fans can expect when the nail-biting storylines hit screens.

The most recent super stunt week included the deadly 50th anniversary storm, where several villagers lost their lives. Teasing the upcoming super soap week, actress Emma, 48, confirmed that her character Charity will be at the "centre" of it.

Emma told Digital Spy: "I'm very excited! Some super soap weeks I don't manage to be part of, which is just the way it goes. So to be at the centre and for it to be quite a big storm brewing – not literally a storm, we've done that! I just know that it's going to be spectacular in one way or another and we're due to get the scripts shortly, but it's going to be quite big."
