Coronation Street actress Tina O'Brien has revealed people are getting more and more suspicious about Stephen Reid's real motives as she predicted who might expose the serial killer for good

Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien has teased who will expose serial killer Stephen Reid for good.

Stephen – played by Todd Boyce – has already killed three people. He murdered Teddy and his son Leo, whilst also killing his business associate Rufus by drowning him in his own pool. He also tried to kill Elaine but, before they could go on their holiday, she realised what he was like and Tim stepped in and stopped them going, meaning she was saved from death.

Whilst Elaine is now gone, Stephen is still on the Cobbles following his split and hasn't wasted any time in getting involved with different parts of the residents' lives, including forging a letter from the clinic about the true paternity of Sarah's baby.

Actress Tina O'Brien has now revealed Stephen's meddling has "sown a seed" for her character Sarah, and teased she could be the one who would expose Stephen as a killer for good, in what if it's the case will be a huge twist.

She said: "I think it’s definitely sown a little seed of something. It was how blasé he was about as well, she couldn’t believe what he done and I think that kind of made her go, 'Oh, my God, you’re quite ruthless and brutal.'

"I think that’s been stored away. She’s not really sort of going there with it at the moment. She’s got far too many problems of her own right now. But maybe, further along, it may be something that that triggers something and makes her realise he isn’t to be trusted."

Stephen will eventually leave the Cobbles and however it happens, Sarah is hoping the exit will bring the Platts together. She said: "I've genuinely no idea how this story ends, so it will be so interesting. However it ends, I’ll be obviously gutted if and when Todd leaves because I adore him and I love working with him.

"But I do hope that it brings the Platt family closer together because we’re an award-winning family and also it would be great if it ignites a kind of like, like 'we need to be together and we need to work through this together,'" she shared of what's to come on the ITV soap amid an exit for actor Todd, who plays Stephen.
