Lionel Messi has gone house hunting with his wife and eldest son in Miami - for the second time in the space of a week.

The Argentine international is settling in well on America's east coast and he was spotted in Boca Raton looking for a lavish new home. The city is an hour north of Miami but just 25 minutes from Inter Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.

The Inter Miami star and his family were shown around the property, which included a golf putting green, and someone could be seen with a club in hand giving the 36-year-old a quick demonstration. Should the World Cup winner choose to purchase the home or any other in Florida, it would mark the latest property under his ownership in the state.

Messi bought a £7.5million ($9 million) apartment that overlooks Sunny Isle Beach and the city of Miami. In 2019 he purchased the apartment located in the Porsche Design Tower, which is located between Bal Harbour and Aventura, 25 minutes from the DRV PNK Stadium.

The new captain of Inter Miami is set to earn £38m-£47m a season after signing for the MLS club. He has already made an impact on the field, which began with a superb injury-time free kick on debut to give the team their first win in 11 matches.

The football icon made his first start four days later and scored two goals in another victory for his new side. Messi is clearly loving life in Miami and has even begun taking English lessons, according to his teammate Robert Taylor.

“I'm taking Spanish lessons and he's taking English lessons. Still, the conversation level isn't great, but, on the field, it's different,” he told Sky Sports. "I feel like football is a language where if you link up with someone, you don't necessarily have to speak the same language - you just play well together.

“I've heard him say a couple things in English to me and couple of players around him, so I think he speaks pretty good English." Messi is also playing with two men he enjoyed some very successful years at Barcelona with, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

The midfielder completed his transfer to Inter Miami a day after Messi’s arrival was confirmed, while the left-back recently completed his move and may be in line to make his debut against Orlando City in the Leagues Cup tonight. During his unveiling ceremony at DRV PNK Stadium, Alba said he was delighted to be able to play with Messi again and create more special moments on the pitch.

“Despite the offers I had for more money, the priority for me was to feel important. I think I made the right decision,” the Spaniard said. “This is the club that tried the hardest to get me. I am very happy to reunite with Leo and Busi here at Inter Miami.

"Not just us three as players but there is a group of players here who are also very good who will help us and us them so that we win all the games we play.

"We know Tata [Gerardo Martino], he knows us. I am a very competitive player, and this project is very familiar. That's why I made the decision to come here. I've only been here three or four days, but it feels like I've been here all my life."
