Euphoria actor Angus Cloud's former manager Diomi Cordero has revealed the star's alleged drug addiction and issues as he labelled the actor as "verbally abusive".

Angus, who starred as Fezco on the hit HBO show Euphoria, died at his family's home in Oakland on Monday. Police have confirmed he was pronounced dead at the scene and his cause of death is currently unknown.

Angus' former manager Diomi spoke at length about working with the actor in a Twitter post. He resigned from working as Angus' talent manager in February 2022, describing it as "impossible" to continue working for him.

In the statement, Diomi wrote: "On February 21st 2022, I resigned as Angus Cloud's talent manager. My decision to resign was prompted by Angus' verbal abuse, emotional distress & severe drug addiction, which rendered it impossible for me to continue my professional relationship with him."

Diomi explained that he and Angus met when the budding talent manager was working as a mental health technician, and began working together professionally in April 2021.

Diomi supported Angus in helping his regain control of his professional and personal life, as he explained: "I hired new acting & fashion agents, hired a publicist, facilitated the opening of a business account, ensured that his SAG-AFTRA account was correctly configured, helped him acquire health insurance, and ensured that his Euphoria payments were being deposited correctly. We secured the services of a bookkeeper, arranged for his taxes to be paid, and established automatic payment for his bills. This intervention allowed Angus to regain control of his personal and professional life."

Diomi then explained that Angus' friends who were dabbling in drugs and reckless behaviour began to have an effect on the young actor, leading to a relapse. He explained that on one occasion for a July barbecue, Angus appeared to be back on substances just two days after leaving rehab. Diomi added that claims that by November 2021, Angus had "evidently relinquished control of his addiction".

One of the biggest incidents from their time working together that Diomi recalled in his statement included Angus suffering a drug overdose, with Diomi having to administer CPR and medical assistance. He explained: "Angus exhibited cyanosis in his lips and fingernails, prompting me to evacuate the room and administer Narcan intranasally. However, his breathing continued to deteriorate, necessitating the use of CPR and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, which I was able to provide due to my training at the rehabilitation facility. Fortunately, these measures proved successful in reviving Angus. Regrettably, as he regained consciousness, Angus vomited onto my face."

Their working relationship came to a sour end as Diomi claimed Angus' behaviour towards him became "extremely abusive". He resigned in February 2022, less than a year after they began working together. However, things became even more bitter with Angus reportedly owing Diomi $60,000 in management fees. In April this year, Diomi explained: "As a result of my resignation, for over a year, I have been pursuing the collection of my outstanding management commissions from Angus, totalling over $60,000.00. Despite repeated attempts to resolve this matter amicably, I have yet to receive any of the payments owed to me."

Confirming his tragic death, his heartbroken family said: "It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways."

The statement revealed his father had died recently and the star was struggling with his loss. It continued: "Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend."

No cause of death has been confirmed. The statement added that Angus was open about his battle with mental health and it said it is hoped his passing can be "a reminder to others that they are not alone".
