EastEnders' Stacey Slater fate 'sealed'- Martin's 'death' to sinister Theo twist

EastEnders fans will know Theo Hawthorne is Stacey Slater's secret stalker but the Walford stalwart has no idea the man she trusts to tutor her daughter Lily harbours an unhealthy obsession with her.

Theo (William Ellis) has been paying for private sessions with Stacey (Lacey Turner) on her x-rated subscription website as well as tutoring her pregnant daughter Lily but the stalwart has no idea she should be afraid of the seemingly harmless teacher.

In recent scenes, Stacey began to panic when her stalker made it clear he knew where she lived by sending flowers to her home and sending her a sinister "I'm watching you" text.

Eve Unwin ( Heather Peace ) urged her friend to go to the police but she refused. Ignoring her wishes, Eve spoke to Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) but he made it clear unless a crime has been committed, there's nothing the police can do.

As Theo continues to worm his way into Stacey's life, fans have worked out numerous unsettling theories about how the sinister plot will come to an end.

Theo moves in with Stacey

Last week, Stacey inadvertently trapped herself in her home with her stalker and after Theo creepily told her: "You're never alone," fans are convinced he'll convinced the stalwart he should move in to help keep her safe.

On Reddit, one EastEnders viewer said: “He'll end up moving in to help Stacey 'feel safe.’ He may also offer to help support her financially. He'll pretend to help her find the stalker and throw her off the scent.”

While another added: “Kind of funny that Theo always happens to be in the right place at the right time to overhear conversations, and has exceptionally good hearing. I wonder if he'll offer to move in to help Stacey 'feel safe. He may even offer to help her find the stalker and just throw her off the scent even more.”

Martin's death

Stacey and Martin grew closer together in recent months while co-parenting their three children together. Although, Martin is only the biological father of Hope, he has always seen himself as the father of Lily (Lillia Turner) and Arthur too.

The pair shared a kiss in recent scenes and Martin agreed he understood why Stacey continues with her cam work despite him, and the rest of the Slaters, feeling uncomfortable with it.

Martin has made his feelings of unease about Theo clear and questioned his willingness to help Lily but, Stacey dismissed him and stood up for her secret stalker.

Fans suspect Theo will see Martin as his competition and go to deadly methods to get rid of him.

One tweeted: “So Theo's going to kill Martin to get Stacey isn't he! Can we just have ONE happy couple," and another said: “Stacey & Martin are adorable, watch Theo try and kill Martin now though.”

Theo meets a deadly end

When Theo turned up at the Slaters on the pretence of dropping off work for Lily, EastEnders fans hoped Stacey would work out his true identity and end his sinister plot.

Stacey will be furious when she realises Theo is her stalker after opening her home to the teacher, meanwhile Martin will struggle to contain his anger when it's confirmed he was right all along.

One fan predicted: "“Theo’s going to be brown bread when everybody finds out what he’s done," and another added: “STACEY SLATER YOUR TIME IS NOW!!! SUSS OUT THEO AND KILL HIM!!!”

A third suggested:: “Martin might just kill Theo when he finds out it’s him and used his daughter to worm his way in.”

Christmas murder and rape horror

EastEnders gave BBC soap fans an insight into the future earlier this year with a flash-forward to Christmas 2023 where Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Patel) and Stacey were seen stood over a dead body in the Queen Vic.

Some fans suspect Theo will be killed at Christmas after attacking Stacey in heartbreaking scenes.

The sinister teacher may leave Walford in the coming months only to return at Christmas to take revenge.

One theorised: "Is Theo the Christmas murder victim do you think? Other characters would seem to fit better, but sometimes it is the least expected," while another added: "Calling it now Theo is the dead body at Christmas!"

“The speed Stacey’s stalker story is taking hold, I’m not sure if Theo will even last till Crimbo at this rate! Still 5 months left, it’s going quite quick so either something happens to stall it or something happens to Theo maybe that he leaves & then returns," a third agreed and another added: "I think the body is Theo and I think they go away for a while and come back at Christmas for revenge and goes to attack Stacey and gets killed."

Someone else shared: “I think the person killed is Theo, I feel his obsession with Stacey Will intensify when she decides she wants to get back with Martin, I feel Theo will attack or try to rape Stacey and Theo is murdered in the pub.”
