Jeremy Clarkson has sparked concern after revealing cider sold at his Diddly Squat Farm has been recalled due to exploding.
Earlier this month, a social media post for his farm shop explained that a small number of bottles of his Hawkstone cider had been "over fermenting" causing explosions. Jeremy's farm explained that only a certain batch of the alcoholic drink had been affected and if a customer had already consumed it, they needn't worry.
In a fresh update, the former Top Gear host has taken to X to inform his followers that the issue is now serious and an urgent product recall is in place. In view of his 8 million followers on the platform formerly known as Twitter, he wrote: "This is important. If you have any Hawkstone cider at home, please please please check the cap."

The TV presenter went on to add: "If it has the code L3160, e-mail us at [email protected] for help and advice. Do not handle the bottles unless you are wearing protective clothing and goggles." When one fan questioned whether Jeremy may be joking or if he was being serious, he responded: "I am serious this time. We have had some success in finding the affected bottles but some are still out there. And we need to find them."
But despite concerns from one social media user who claimed that upon opening the cider which had been under "a lot of pressure" and tasted "very acidic", Jeremy was keen to shut down any claims as he said: "The cider would not taste acidic. It's fine." Some fans made a joke out of the situation, while others shared memes about explosions and even a reference to the new Oppenheimer movie which is about the father of the atomic bomb.

Earlier this month, the Diddly Squat Farm Shop shared an announcement on Facebook, writing: "An important message from @hawkstone… Warning: please check any Hawkstone cider you have at home and see if the cap reads L3160 - a small amount of it is over-fermenting - if you have any of this batch it is important to dispose of it now under the water tap and take care as these are in glass bottles - then take a photo of the caps and we will send you a fresh batch or a refund ... whichever you choose...if you have already drunk the cider please don't worry - apologies from us all."
Hawkstone is a collaboration between The Grand Tour host and the Cotswold Brew Co, using items grown on Jeremy's farm.
