Ashley Cole marries model fiancee Sharon Canu in intimate Italian wedding
Ashley Cole and his model fiancee Sharon Canu got married in a fancy wedding in Italy over the weekend.
The former Chelsea and Arsenal star wed for the second time on Saturday evening in a glitzy ceremony. Friends and family were invited over to an Italian seaside location to take in the celebrations.
The pair exchanged vows under an arch decked out in flowers before they then walked back down the aisle to a backdrop of cheers from guests. Cole, a former England international, showed a beaming smile on his face.
A number of guests shared images and videos of the wedding on social media. It showed Cole wearing an all-black tuxedo, whilst Sharon caught the eye with a stunning off-the-shoulder dress and white bouquet.
Cole, 42, and Sharon have been together since 2014 having reportedly met during the former's short stint with Italian giants Roma. They have dated ever since, whilst Cole also popped the question in March last year.

Planning for the wedding has been in full swing since then. A source told The Sun: "Ashley and Sharon are madly in love and have spent months planning their special day. They met in 2014 when he joined AS Roma and now they are returning to the city for their nuptials.
"Loads of her family live there and it’s very romantic – it’s going to be a very special day. They have put lots of money into it but they have only invited close friends and family. As a couple, they have been very private so they don’t feel the need for a flashy, public wedding."
The pair also have two children together - a boy and a girl named Jaxon and Grace. Cole gave an insight into his family life recently and revealed that it was a huge departure from his playing career.
Speaking to The Telegraph, the former left-back said: "These are the things I focus on now – my kids and my girlfriend. It’s a different me. I’m more of a family man now. You won’t see me in nightclubs anymore, you’ll see me at a park pushing my kids."
He added: "I was a young, angry kid at the time, and now I’ve grown up and understand the things I did is life, it happens. Not just me, but with certain situations, loads of other people have done [the same]. I’ve learnt from it, it’s made me a better person. It’s made me a great dad."
