Stacey Dooley was cruelly branded as "attention seeking" after she posted a sweet pic with her daughter. The documentary maker took to her social media to share a cute moment with baby Minnie. Yet she was slammed by trolls who disagreed with her parenting.

Documentary maker Stacey, who shares her daughter with Strictly star Kevin Clifton, doesn't post photos of Minnie's face online. Keeping her identity private, Stacey posted an adorable pic of her child wearing a BFF necklace. The snap showed Minnie's feet and torso as she was cuddled. Stacey decided to crop Minnie's face out of the picture which left some fans furious.

One disgruntled follower posted: "Very attention seeking and unnecessary. Just don’t post any pictures of your child. Simple!" "Just interested what happens when you are out with baby and people look at her? Do you keep her face covered at all times ?," asked another. However, many of Stacey's fans rushed to defend her from the mum-shamers as someone wrote: "Good for you, you & Kevin seem to be enjoying every moment with your bundle of joy."

"That little necklace is TOO ADORBS, can’t even cope," gushed another. Whilst Zara McDermott added: "The best girl !!!" The 36-year-old TV presenter and her partner Kevin - who she was partnered with on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 - welcomed Minnie into the world in January.

During the latest episode of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over: Family And Me, the couple shared how they want their baby girl to have full autonomy over how much time she spends in the spotlight. Despite welcoming cameras into their London home and documenting their lives as first time parents, Kevin and Stacey have also vowed to keep their daughter out of the limelight.

Stacey clarified to the cameras that they wanted to protect Minnie's identity and vows only to allow the cameras to show the “back of her beautiful head”. She explained further: “Me and Kev have had various conversations, you know – do we show Minnie? I want her to be able to give genuine consent. She’s not going to be in the limelight.”

While Kevin has made a name and career for himself in the world of dance, he says he won't allow his daughter to follow in his footsteps – arguing it is too competitive. During the latest episode he tells the cameras: “I don’t want Minnie to dance.” Dad Kevin argues that he is “scared” the world of dance would damage her “sense of self-worth“. “It’s too competitive a world. I would rather she do something else. Anything else.”

The new parents are focusing all their energy on parenthood and Stacey revealed she still hopes to have more children in the future. However, former Strictly star Kevin says she's too 'over-tired' to think about expanding their little family for now. Speaking to The Sun, she added: "I don’t know how people have four children. I’ve had one and am completely failing."
