Marks and Spencer shoppers flock to buy cargo trousers that 'fit beautifully'

When it comes to affordable stylish pieces, Marks and Spencer is our go-to retailer - and its clothing range always has us swooning.

This summer, fashion fans have been racing to the high-street store to snap up a pair of cargo trousers that are ideal for the warm season.

The Modal Rich Cargo Wide Leg Trousers, £39.50 here, are already selling fast on the M&S website - so you'll have to be quick. Marks and Spencer's popular piece currently boasts an impressive 4.4 out of five stars online and is available to buy in three colours - black, natural beige and faded khaki.

On Instagram, the Marks & Spencer Style page shared a picture of fashion stylist @monikh wearing the trousers, along with the caption: "Out of the Nineties and into our wardrobes – cargos are the perfect trousers for summer."

The retailer's take on the classic trend features a flattering wide-leg cut, as well as ties on the elasticated cuffs that allow you to adjust the silhouette.

Coming in at £39.50, the M&S cargo trousers would pair well with a white t-shirt and slides - or with heels and a biker jacket.

Many shoppers have praised the stylish piece online in reviews. Giving the trousers five-stars, one impressed customer raved: "Beautiful fabric and the trousers sit so nicely on. Read reviews that said size up and that was very true.

"Fit beautifully when I sized up. Look much more expensive than they are. Love them."

A second said: "Amazing cut - I've been looking for trousers like these for a while and I bought five pairs. The fabric is lightweight, breathable and comfortable - perfect for the summer".

But another shopper hoped for a better fit, as she wrote: "The flappy draw string bottom is not the right finish, too casual."
