The Chase's Mark Labbett says he's lost his appetite after 9st weight loss
The Chase star Mark Labbett says he has lost his appetite after his nine stone weight loss.
Known as The Beast on the ITV game show due to his size, the 57-year-old – who is also 6ft 6 – used to be 29 stone at his heaviest. But after being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2017 he was given a wake-up call to lose weight.
Mark started by cutting out sugar from his diet and revealed his beloved golden retriever Baloo helped get him into the habit of exercising regularly, branding the dog his “personal trainer”.
And now it seems he has his sights set on appearing on Strictly Come Dancing if the BBC asks him. “Now I’m a lot lighter and fitter I’d love to do it, but obviously that’s up to the powers that be,” Mark shared in an interview with GB News.

“My wife was working at the local hospital, which meant I was looking after our son and you suddenly realise how tough it is. I’m just not that hungry anymore,” he added.
The TV star, who has now split with his ex-wife Katie, has found love again with TV presenter Hayley Palmer. Appearing on GB News together, the hosts hinted one of the reasons Mark might have lost his appetite is because he is in love.
Turning to a possible appearance on Strictly Come Dancing, Mark’s girlfriend Hayley said she thought Mark would be great on the BBC show.
She said: “I think he’d be good at that because I used to be a dancer so I’d be like, ‘Right, this is what you need to do. This is your homework.’”

I can’t do Dancing on Ice because my ankle is far too inflexible, they tested me last year. But, you know, Strictly will be fine.”
Hayley, 41, and Mark, 57, met at last year's , but it wasn't until recently that their friendship turned to love. She revealed Mark wooed her by flashing his Toby Carvery gold card, which gets him free roast dinners at the iconic pub chain.
She added: "He’s really, really romantic and he treats me so well. He’s a big teddy bear. He gives the best cuddles."
