Terence Crawford wins Mike Tyson coin toss ahead of Errol Spence fight
Mike Tyson's coin toss to determine the ring walk order in Terence Crawford and Errol Spence's fight this weekend has determined that it will be Crawford who makes the decision.
Part of the deal for the undisputed welterweight title fight to be made after months of failed negotiations was that there wouldn't necessarily be an A-Side for the bout. Advertising graphics show Spence vs Crawford, but there will be no particular advantage given to either man, as the coin toss winner was allowed two options as to how the fight will be introduced.
The winner of the toss, which was administered by boxing legend Tyson and hosted by Ray Flores this evening in Las Vegas, can choose to walk second, but be introduced first or walk first but be introduced as the final fighter of the night. Crawford won the toss, with a commemorative coin used to decide.
After the coin was presented to the audience and both fighters, Crawford picked heads right before Tyson flipped it to decide the winner. The coin embarrassingly dropped under a table, but the legendary heavyweight was able to confirm that it was heads, giving Crawford the advantage.

The decision will not be made until Saturday night, when Crawford will announce whether he walks first or second, and it remains to be seen if the tradition will continue for big fights. Usually there is a clear A and B-side to a contest, but neither man was willing to give in on that title in negotiations.

Crawford, a generally soft-spoken man on the press conference stage, was forced to calm down members of Spence's family and team from the podium when he spoke during the otherwise uneventful show. "First and foremost I'd like to thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to be here amongst each and every one of y'all," Crawford began, before being interrupted.
"I'd like to bless everybody that had something to do with putting this event together, you already know what time it is now. I'm ready, he's ready, we're going to have a fish fry come Saturday. But listen, though, my family, Errol's family - man you've got to calm down, brother. things can get real sticky real quick. Then everybody will say this is what we do every time we come out.
"Social media my a**, bro, listen, just like you're doing all that talking it can turn deadly real quick. On both sides, though, so why not support your fighter, you ain't got nothing wrong with that, then my side can support their fighter and let's come together and make this event a success instead of everyone saying every time we come together it's all shooting and violence, that's what I want."
