Clarkson's Farm shares update with fans as 'much-deserved' change gets underway

Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm has finally won some of its battles for expansion with its local council.

In an update to fans, Jeremy's partner Lisa Hogan gave fans an update on what's been happing at the Cotswolds farm as she proudly showed off their new carpark.

In the last series of Jeremy Clarkson's Farm on Amazon, viewers saw the former BBC presenter struggle and battle with local residents and West Oxfordshire District Council. against expansion of the farm including a proposed restaurant and carpark.

Despite the series ending with plans for expansion rejected, it seems Jeremy has proved victorious in the end as Diddly Squat Farm now has a carpark.

Fans of the show have praised the new development, and even questioned why it was rejected in the first place. One commented: "At long last. So why didn't those muppets just say yes in the first place."

Another wrote: "“It's about time. Congratulations. All this hassle is because of the pathetic and idiotic local council. They have done more harm than good. Hopefully, you can get that local farm co-operative up and running now as well."

"Excellent news at last you have the much-deserved car park!" said a third. Another said: "Bestest news ever!!! You won!!!!" while a fifth commented: "Hurray so pleased for you, it’s been a long hard journey." Another shared: "Congratulations. That long in coming."

However it's not all been plain sailing for Jeremy. After he appealed the local council decision and was granted the carpark for Diddly Squat Farm, the proposal for a restaurant on site has still been rejected.

Diddly Squat Farm first became a viewer's favourite with the first series of Jeremy Clarkson's Farm in 2021, and has grown to be a hit ever since.

Viewers have been introduced to workers across the farm including Kaleb Cooper, Charlie Ireland, Gerald Cooper and Jeremy's partner Lisa.

Currently no third series of the programme is confirmed, with the second season airing earlier this year. However, Jeremy told one fan on social media that filming will end in October 2023, so an expected release date could be early 2024.

Clarkson's Farm is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video now.
