Emmerdale's Victor collapses as twisted plan escalates and dark past is exposed

Emmerdale looks set for dramatic scenes next week as Victor Anderson's plan escalates after he dramatically collapses.

The character recently left prison after years behind bars, with him becoming estranged from wife Claudette and son Charles.

It was revealed he had been sent to prison over an armed robbery - and recently Victor claimed Charles was the reason he was imprisoned.

All these years later and Victor is claiming he wants to make amends amid concern over his health. However, it appears he is up to no good, as more dark secrets have come to light about his past.

Meanwhile, Victor has been meddling as he tries to win Claudette over as it appears his intentions for the family aren't genuine.

And it appears that Victor's plans escalate next week as he takes advantage of kind vicar son Charles, who secretly thinks his dad is up to his old tricks again.

Soap fans will recall that Victor recently revealed he has a brain aneurysm, which could soon claim his life.

And next week, Claudette is left worried when a weary Victor collapses into a chair amid his health woes.

Later, Charles, who has agreed to stop pushing Victor away to please his mother, invites his estranged father to stay with them.

Is Victor genuinely ill or is this a plan to get back in with his family following his prison stint?

It comes as actor Eddie Osei, who is playing Victor, said of his character last month: "I feel privileged to be joining such a great show and I am honoured to be working with the fantastic cast and crew.

"It is very exciting for me to be playing Victor who is such an enigmatic character and who causes the Anderson family so much trouble!"

While Emmerdale producer, Hannah Cheers, added: "Victor's arrival in Emmerdale turns life for the Andersons upside down.

"The brilliant addition of Eddie Osei as Victor has allowed us to learn more about who the Andersons are and we can't wait for the audience to watch as the drama unfolds.

"While Claudette is confronted by the husband she prayed she'd never see again, Charles has to face up to painful past traumas and he makes no secret of the fact that Victor is not welcome here. But who will win out?"

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
