Gareth Gates unrecognisable from Pop Idol days as he performs topless in Ibiza
Gareth Gates showed off his buff physique as he looked a world from his Pop Idol days while performing topless in Ibiza.
Proving that he very much still has the voice of an angel, the singer wooed holidaymakers sipping on Sangrias and making the most of the humid Spanish evening.
The 39-year-old clearly needed to cool off in the heat as he whipped off his top and showed off the impressive results of his intense gym workouts, sparking awe amongst his audience.
One impressed spectator watching Gareth crooning in his swimming shorts was singer MNEK, who shared a video of the moment and wrote with a heart emoji: "We had such a fun night."
Grammy-winning songwriter Ryan Ashley was also enjoying the show by the pool, sharing a photo of Gareth revving up his audience in the pool.

Gareth has split from girlfriend Chloe (Gareth Gates/Instagram)The Pop Idol singer is making the most of his holiday getaway after his sad split from DJ ex-girlfriend Chloe McLennan in November after three years together.
It has now been said that he has moved on and has struck up a romance with Allana Taylor who is currently appearing in the West End production of Grease. She has also starred in a number of other theatre and panto productions across the UK.
The romance first came to light back in May when Allana posted a photo of herself holding a man's hand who was out of shot.
The Sun reported that Gareth's rep said: "Allana and Gareth enjoyed a string of dates after meeting in Panto last year, both appearing in Jack and the Beanstalk."
Gareth has had his fair share of romances as he was previously engaged to Coronation Street star Faye Brooks.
The pair first came face to face when they were both starring in Legally Blonde: The Musical.
They were together from 2013 until 2018, when it was confirmed that they had split. However, they gave it another go and rekindled their relationship in 2019 and shared their plans to marry in July of that year.
But it wasn't meant to be as they called time on their romance for good a month later, with Faye moving out of the flat they shared.
Gareth also shares daughter Missy, 12, with his ex-wife Suzanne Mole, with the ex-couple tying the knot in 2008 but ended up splitting four years later in 2012.
