Saira Khan praised for showing 'real body with scars, stretch marks and lines'
Saira Khan has won praise and support from fans after she posed in a bikini and urged women to love their bodies and embrace scars, stretch marks and wrinkles.
The 53-year-old former Loose Women star had enlightening words for those that follow her on social media as she shared her thoughts on modern day womanhood.
She urged fans to embrace “marks, scars, wrinkles” and signs of ageing as she confidently showed off her own un-retouched body.
Taking to Instagram, Saira flashed a beaming smile as she posed in a pink and white coloured bikini and wrote an inspiring caption.
The TV star started by sharing her own definition of a woman, writing: “Women: unstoppable forces of strength, beauty, and resilience."

Drawing attention to her own skincare range, she continued: “Today is a special day as my business SAIRA skin was reborn and it’s sole purpose is to give women the best start to the day where they wake up, look in the mirror, embrace their natural skin and connect with it by putting their hands on it and nourishing it with organic oil based products.
“My products do not ‘hide’ ‘conceal’ or ‘camouflage’ instead they ‘embrace’ ‘nourish’ ‘soothe’ ‘soften’.
“We embrace marks, scars, wrinkles and aging - these things do not define who we are as women - so we need to look past them and focus on looking after ourselves positively, regularly and making the time to do it.”
She went on to encourage followers to ensure they follow a regular skincare routine while suggesting her own products have the ingredients needed to ensure skin is left glowing.
She concluded: “We want women to be in any environment and proudly say, ‘This is me: unfiltered, confident, real’.”
Her empowering statement was a hit with fans and followers who flooded her comments section with words of praise.
One impressed follower commented: "you look fabulous and a great role model to your children especially your daughter!"
Another congratulated her, writing: "Your looking confident, beautiful, strong & happy."
While another said Saira had helped them feel confident in their own skin, writing: "You look Beautiful! I took bikini pics first time since I’ve had children.. thought 55years old so what ! Thanku for making me feel proud of my body."

The star has faced some criticism, however, as she has been sharing updates from a health retreat where participants consume juices and undergo yoga and fitness routines.
Hitting back at those who have scrutinised her choice to enjoy a health focused break, Saira - posing in another bikini and clutching a green-coloured drink - wrote: "Mention you’re going to live on 4 juices a day for 7 days and the comments you receive from some people is of horror! They start quoting doctors, influencers and quacks!
"Mention you are going to get pissed every night and eat burgers and chips and people say 'have a fantastic time, sounds like fun'.
"For me my fun is sun, sport and healthy nutrition - this retreat @juicemasterretreats has been my reset - I’ve made new friends, I’ve exercised, I’ve fed my body essential nutrients and I feel like a million dollars - full of energy and feeling totally at one with my body. My mind, body and soul has been nourished."
