Barbara Windsor's widow and new EastEnders star partner are perfect match
Barbara Windsor's widow is said to be "truly happy" with his new EastEnders partner, as an expert says they are a perfect match.
The widower, 60, is said to have fallen for fellow star , 55, who played Rainie Cross in the soap. Scott and Tanya bonded while training for the London Marathon together in Barbara's legacy.
The loved-up couple have recently been spotted hand in hand after reportedly moving in together. Scott's happiness comes after the death of his wife Dame Barbara in December 2020 after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2014.

The publication reports widows begin dating again on average two years and seven months after their loss. Tanya appeared in EastEnders from 2007 and 2018, when she signed up full-time. However, she left the soap in August 2022. Barbara's iconic EastEnders' character Peggy Mitchell was on the soap at the same time as Tanya's character.
Rainie even had a storyline with Peggy's son Phil, which saw him become addicted to crack cocaine. It's been said that Tanya and Scott first bonded when they both trained for their first marathon together in 2019 as part of Babs Army.
Scott and Barbara tied the knot back in 2000 and he continued to support her through her diagnoses and right up to her death aged 83. His new love is thought to be his first relationship since Barbara's death.
The pair are rumoured to have moved in together according to Metro. And it has been claimed Tanya and Scott are living in the £4 million pad he shared with his late wife Barbara.
Scott has raised thousands of pounds for Alzheimer’s Research UK, but in April this year, he spoke about moving on with his life and stepping away from the gruelling endurance race.
“This is definitely my last marathon and my last time running for Babs’ Army,” he said on Good Morning Britain. “I know I said that last time but this one really is my last one. It doesn’t get easier,” Scott explained, as he said it was time to “pull back a little”.
“For the last few years I have tried to keep Barbara’s memory alive… It has been really important for me to do but it’s now time to focus on myself for a bit,” he continued. "I need to look after myself and focus on my future and my happiness.”
