Sam Faiers broke down over skin struggles and refused to leave the house
Sam Faiers has admitted she didn't want to leave the house while struggling with acne.
The former TOWIE star and mum-of-three, 32, said the 'embarrassing' skin condition was so severe, it left her in tears.
Sam often graces covers of magazines and starred in her own reality show, The Mummy Diaries, for seven years, but says her skin became so bad, she didn't want anyone to see her.
Opening about her experience, she said: "I was so self-conscious, some days I didn’t want to even leave the house. I remember one Christmas I was in The Maldives and I was crying every day because I was so embarrassed – it was so bad and inflamed.
"I confided in Paul [her partner] and was like, ‘I don’t want to leave the room,'" Sam told OK! magazine.

The brand has now been snapped up by the US market and is about to launch in Saks Fifth Avenue. Speaking about the benefits of the ingestible collagen, the savvy star said: "Women contact us who have had severe psoriasis, rosacea, or eczema.
"These women are buying the product for their skin or hair or wrinkles and it’s completely cleared their skin conditions."
Sam said investing in the brand was a huge risk, explaining she put all her savings into it, which 'put her back buying a house for a year and a half.'
However, it's now being launched in 1,800 stores in America and boasts a "high profile celebrity" as its ambassador stateside, the identity of which is a secret at the moment.
Sam has filmed the process of growing her business for a new documentary, which she says she hopes will inspire young women to become successful in business.
The reality star appears to have hit the jackpot with her collagen company as she recently gave a fans a sneak peak at her £2 million pad, including luxury new designs that have been drawn up for her sprawling garden.
Mum-of-three Sam has opted for diversity in her outside space, adding a fire pit and a chicken coop.

Sam admitted she had stretched her designers in terms of what she wanted in her outdoor space, conceding they may not be able to fit all her demands in.
