Alex McSweeney will return to EastEnders later this month as villain Graham Foster.

Eighteen years have passed since Foster befriended and raped Little Mo while she was working behind the bar of The Queen Vic. Mo, played by Kacey Ainsworth, went on to give birth to Foster’s child, Freddie (Bobby Brazier), which ultimately broke up her marriage to Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick).

But a source said Freddie will discover the truth about his paternity later this month. Foster was jailed for eight years for the rape and was last seen on screen in January 2005 when Billy visited him in prison.

During their chat, Foster teased Billy about the fact he wasn’t Freddie’s real dad and hinted he could one day return to Walford.

Alex, 38, said: “I’m grateful to be asked to reprise the role of Graham as I thought it was important for Freddie to be given some answers about his dad.
