A tiny flat is up for rent at just £375 per month - with a catch meaning the shower is actually in the kitchen.

The poky Halifax property has everything in just one room and comes “fully furnished” which includes a double bed, two seater sofa and armchair, wardrobe, chest of drawers and shelf unit.

There is a fairly basic looking kitchenette with an oven, hobs, fridge, sink and three cabinets. But the bathroom is right next to it with a shower cubicle on full show.

There is no door or even frosted glass so there is no privacy if two people lived there or one had guests over - with no sign of a toilet in the studio flat, located down a private road in Halifax.

One home hunter said: “I know clean eating is all the rage these days. But this takes the biscuit.”

It is being let by Whitehornes letting agent and advertised on Rightmove. The listing makes no mention of the bizarre shower and kitchen combo.

The listing reads: “Available now is this well presented studio apartment close to Halifax town centre. The studio comes fully furnished and includes utilities such as council tax, hot water and water rates.

“Electric not included. A viewing is highly recommended.”

The rent works out at £87 per week. A deposit of £430 to be paid up front is also required and the minimum tenancy is one year.

In similar fashion, earlier this year an apartment is so small that you can cook your dinner while on the toilet.

At just six square metres, the pad in Shanghai, China, started life as a storage unit until it was converted into a living space.

Humbly boasting a modest shower and what appears to be a washing machine, the pokey two-window flat has been advertised by an estate agent - named only as Mr Li - as a "temporary shelter".

It's currently on the renting market for CNY 380 per month - approximately £46.

But claustrophobics need not apply, as the flat's only seating is either on a single bed wedged between two walls or by answering nature's call.
