Harry Enfield and Chums stars Kathy Burke and Paul Whitehouse were all smiles as they enjoyed a catch-up in the sun together.

Kathy - who recently interviewed Katie Price on her popular podcast - and The Fast Show star Paul, 65, burst into fits of laughter during their outing in North London.

As the two comedy icons enjoyed a coffee together, Kathy pulled a soft toy out of her bag which prompted the duo to chuckle away.

Inbetween sips of coffee, Paul appeared to show his old co-star copies of his new books set to be released later this year.

The BBC series ran for two series between 1994 and 1998, returning for Christmas specials and a Comic Relief short.

This week's coffee date in London isn't the first time Kathy and Paul have caught up this year. Paul recently joined his old co-star for a chat about his funeral plans on Kathy's hit podcast, Where There's A Will There's A Wake.

"I'd like an overdose of some heroin I think; something like that. I mean, you can provide it or I can find a dealer near me, there's loads around," Paul admitted when asked how he'd like to die by Kathy on the podcast. "What do you mean I could provide it?" Kathy quickly replied, as Paul explained she is his "death hostess" in the hypothetical chat.

"So, it's not illegal in your world, is it? That's how I'd like to go. Does that sort of resonate as a sort of modern death, because I'm all for Dignitas me," Paul continued, before revealing he and Harry would often makes jokes on stage about Dignitas - a Swiss nonprofit organization providing physician-assisted suicide to members with terminal illness or severe physical or mental illness.

"I really am," Paul stressed to Kathy. "In fact, me and Harry used to do it, we had a little gag on stage as the old gits and I'd got him dignitas vouchers for his birthday." Elsewhere during the podcast chat, Paul admitted to regretting trying ecstasy and joining the cast of Only Fools and Horses The Musical for an upcoming tour.

Kathy has won a legion of new fans from younger generations over recent years, thanks to her venture in the world of podcasts, her Twitter activity and some well-received Channel 4 documentaries about womanhood.

Earlier this year, social media celebrated Kathy Burke and her politics thanks to an episode of her Channel 4 documentary series Kathy Burke: Growing Up and the comedic actress' savage swipe at Channel 5 presenter Jeremy Vine.

After chatting with a climate activist, podcast host Kathy, 58, declared: "I think activism is a part of being young, and it’s important that the young show us what their p***ed off about. It’s not a fad and it’s not ‘wokeism’," the star continued, mimicking large air quotes. "Can I just say, that gets on my f***ing nerves.

"They’re calling you ‘woke’ if you call out bad things, basically. If you’re not racist, you’re woke. If you’re not homophobic, oh, you’re woke. Be woke, kids. Be woke. Be wide awake and f***ing call it out."

As fans on Twitter celebrated Kathy on in March, the outspoken star took aim at presenter Jeremy Vine and his personal interpterion of the word woke. Quote-tweeting a clip from a recent episode of The Jeremy Vine Show, which saw Jeremy and others discuss the word woke and its meaning, Kathy furiously added: "'It’s come to mean something else' from Vine there. No it hasn’t, it’s just been hijacked by thicko’s and patronising old white men."

Following Kathy's quote-tweet and scathing comment, the original tweet from The Jeremy Vine show containing the clip has been deleted. "God I f**ing love Kathy Burke. Anyone who uses the word woke as a pejorative should be instantly dismissed as a human being," one fan tweeted as the internet praised Kathy.
